LOS ANGELES—Affordable Living for the Aging, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing for senior citizens, received a grant under Enterprise’s national Vulnerable Populations RFP to modernize the shared housing model for today’s market and provide other agencies with tools and resources for expanding their impact. 

One-third of Los Angeles’ 1.2 million older adults are facing housing instability today and that number is expected to double in ten years.  Seniors on fixed incomes encounter rising housing costs and rising health care costs that lead to economic insecurity.
