Having raised her family on the North Shore, Ellen returned to be near family and look for a job. She’s sharing a home in Evanston, and takes care of the family dog while the owner is away. “This was a very economical way to have housing – I had a choice of very nice homes, in nice environments – so I can get my feet on the ground again,” she says.
